The headline of this report could not help suppress the smile on my lips. This reminded me of the fact ki- Mera Bharat mahan ,
100 mein se 99 beimaan..
The Youngistan, Gen-X or whatsoever is the new-age lingo to address the responsible, eloquent, upcoming youth of India , cannot do much , but sit back and read these tainted alarming figures.
Party | Tainted Candidates | Those with Murder cases |
BJP | 37 | 5 |
Congress | 21 | 2 |
JD(S) | 18 | 2 |
BSP | 16 | 1 |
Others | 12 | 1 |
Total | 104 | 11 |
The survey conducted by social forum Karnataka Election Watch (KEW) revealed that 104 out of the 1325 candidates in the fray have cases of murder , rioting , death threat, criminal assault and disproportionate assets against them. This gives a clean-chit to over 92% of the contesting candidates who would have had only pickpocket ting or betting and bookies to their credit in their glorious past. BJP takes the lead in these cruel figures. The report also reveals that the members are given tickets not on the basis of their clean records or honesty , but their wealth ! Does the assembly trust the elected candidates to use their wealth in the betterment of their society?
Well deserving candidates I must say!!
So, lets together sing praises of “INDIA SHINING” , ( with BJP already in the forefront )
Along with our able criminal leaders…
I probably should not be the one to whine about this. People like you and me have given license to such candidates to handle the administrative strings of our country. Now, whether they pluck them out, pull them hard , entangle them or break them down, are we really bothered?
“Jis din degree milegi , hum toh kat lenge America..”
After all we are simple people , who live a life along the line which is exactly parallel to our noses… and by God’s grace we have beautiful straight-lined noses!
…..and then even if we get into this ditch ,will we really get a chance to get it cleared?
..or we ourselves will become tainted in the process, or even worse.., posted in a region which is beyond all the realms of improvisation. It will be difficult for us to maintain our integrity in a system which is dirty, right from its very roots.
The picture of future INDIA looks blurred, intensely fearful and savagely criminal. I see no option, no hope and this pessimism makes me nervous ,really concerned and I surrender myself to this system. I sense the sheer helplessness in me when I cannot do anything to change this abysmal face of Indian Politics.
This definitely gives an answer as to why over 60 years after independence we still remain a developing nation. We have a lot to learn from our Japanese counterparts. The island country which was devastated completely after the World War has risen to become a pioneer in technology and international economy.
It probably takes a Hiroshima or Nagasaki bombing to rise from the debris and reach for the stars………
